WHY FLASH FLOODED IN NEPAL???????

WHY FLASH FLOODED IN NEPAL???????          Nepal is a lovely Himalayan country blessed with mountains, rivers, valleys, and a rich natural environment. But its geographical situation also renders it very susceptible to natural hazards. Flash floods, in particular, are one of the more dangerous hazards amongst these and are more likely to occur during the monsoon season. Flash flood: a sudden and rapid increase of water in rivers, streams and low lying areas, frequently after a heavy rainfall in a short time. High mountains, narrow valleys, frequent monsoon rains, landslides and torrential rivers in Nepal can all add up to torrential flooding.

Causes of Flash Floods in NepaL

The main reason why flash floods are frequent in Nepal is heavy rains during the monsoon season. These rains are expected to be intense and persistent from June to September. The overflowing of rivers and streams caused by heavy rainfall makes the hills and mountains slippery and steep, therefore accelerating the water flow and making the floods destructive.
Another significant consideration is Nepal's challenging terrain. There are many mountains and narrow valleys in the country, where the rivers flow with great speed. Natural dams can be temporarily formed by landslides on rivers. The barriers suddenly fail and a huge amount of water and debris can flow downstream. Floods can also be caused by the rapid drainage of glacial lakes or landslide dammed lakes in high mountain regions.
Climate change is also contributing to this growing concern. Increasingly unpredictable rainfall and extreme weather events can make it more difficult for communities to anticipate when severe flooding may occur. The United Nations has called Nepal vulnerable to climate hazards, such as more unpredictable extreme weather events.

Effects on People and the Environment

A flash flood can cause devastating damage in just minutes or hours. Infrastructure, such as homes, roads, bridges, schools, farms, and more, can be washed away. Those who reside near rivers are especially vulnerable as they may have little time to evacuate if river levels rise quickly.

Floods not only cause landslides which add to the danger in mountainous regions but they also pose a danger to agricultural lands and crops resulting into loss of agricultural production and farmers' income. Contamination of drinking-water sources by floodwater and damage to sanitation facilities are also likely to occur and spread waterborne diseases.
The scale of the flood shows how big the problem was. The deadly floods and landslides, which occurred on 27-28 September 2024, claimed 246 lives, injured 183 people and left thousands of people homeless in 21 districts. The landslides and consequent floods caused damage to roads, bridges, health facilities, educational institutions, houses, agricultural and electric utilities.
Flash floods can also have economic impacts. People can lose their livelihood and resources such as farm animals, food, and belongings. Children can miss school, and people may not be able to get medical care, and roads can be damaged causing isolated communities to be cut off from emergency medical services.

                                                    Prevention and Preparedness

Although flash floods cannot always be prevented, damage can be minimized by preparing appropriate disaster-management measures. In particular, early-warning systems should be instituted to provide communities with the information they need to make appropriate decisions. For example, communities need to know when heavy rains are likely to occur, rivers are likely to rise, and flooding is likely to take place so that family members and others can be moved to safety before disaster strikes.
The administration and humanitarian groups active in the country of Nepal have started to apply such methods as forecasting and anticipatory action in order to make preparations in advance for imminent floods. This can enable governments and other authorities to take measures such as providing supplies, sending out warnings, and helping vulnerable households in advance of rising waters.
Other measures include the reinforcement of bridges and roads, protection of riverbanks, improvement of drainage, restoration of forests, regulation of uncontrolled construction near rivers and the creation of safe evacuation routes. No less important is raising public awareness, informing residents of possible evacuation routes, having emergency reserves at hand and not attempting to cross a swollen river or floodwater.

Nepal is unable to prevent flash floods entirely; however, it is possible to prepare better for them. Closer collaboration between government agencies, communities, scientists, humanitarian organizations, and international donors is required. Moreover, investment in preparation and preemptive measures will save many lives in the future, and contribute to the country’s security and resilience.

WHY IS FEMALE BODY SO ACTTRATIVE TO GUY ??

Humans are complex creatures. A being of both biological and psychological makeup, each person is different in their own way. The question of what makes them beautiful, from the eyes of someone else, is a matter that has been pondered upon for thousands of years. Why is it that most men, when faced with the option of choosing, gravitate towards women? What gives the female figure such an allure? While in each person’s case, the reasons may be different, there are some factors that tend to make women attractive in the eyes of men.

One obvious and essential aspect is biology and evolution; humans, like any other species, possess instincts that lead to attraction to specific characteristics that are favorable to one’s health, age, and reproductive ability. Certain traits, when manifested in a person, spark a feeling of interest and even desire in other people. This happens due to their association with fertility and positive reproductive outcomes. Therefore, such characteristics as skin quality, facial symmetry, body shape, and overall fitness may subconsciously signal to a person’s brain that this individual is healthy. However, it is vital to note that attraction is not necessarily rational and is not purely related to reproduction.

Another factor is that the brain’s reward system is triggered by visual input. Seeing an attractive person can cause the release of pleasure and reward hormones in the brain, making an individual feel happy and excited. This is why attraction can be irrational and unpredictable – the person may not even be consciously aware of the reasons for their feelings. The body can react on a subconscious and primal level, independent of the conscious mind

Hormones also play a role. Testosterone, for example, can influence a person’s sexual desire and attraction to a partner. For adolescents and adults, sex hormones can make the physical aspects of dating more appealing. However, hormones alone are not decisive factors in choosing a partner. People are not ruled by instincts; they have consciousness and free will. These allow them to think critically about their desires and choose their partners with awareness.

The cultural component and society are equally important. What people see beautiful is often influenced by media, fashion, advertising, movies, and social and cultural norms. The idea of what is beautiful varies from culture to culture and from era to era; this fact proves that attractiveness is something that is learned. A person forms his own idea of what is beautiful and what is not, depending on his social and cultural environment.

Personal experience also plays a role in attraction, meaning that for some people, certain qualities may be more appealing than others. For instance, a confident, kind, funny, and attractive person may be more attractive to me than someone who is conventionally good-looking but lacks these qualities. Moreover, a person’s attractiveness can be subjective depending on the situation. For instance, if someone has developed feelings for another person, their physical appearance may seem more pleasant than when they first saw them.

It is also essential to differentiate between physical attraction and objectification. Although it is normal to find someone’s body to be attractive, attraction is not a reason to view the person as an object. It is imperative to recognize that each individual has his or her own personality, desires, and limitations.

Ultimately, the female body could be attractive for men because of several reasons ranging from biology, brain chemistry, and hormones to societal and personal perceptions. It appears that there is no universal reason why females are attractive from the perspective of men since attraction is a complex concept determined by various forces.

Understanding attraction, then, can teach us something fundamental about human nature: that we are simultaneously programmed by biology, but not completely ruled by it. A physical attraction may trigger a romantic encounter, but respect, individuality, compatibility, trust, and emotional intimacy are what forge a lasting human relationship.

HOW TO MAKE GLOWING FACE AT HOME

Maintaining a beautiful face doesn't have to be costly or frequent beauty salon trips. Girls can keep their skin fresh, glowing and healthy with a few simple practices and natural ingredients at home. The main thing is to have a skin care regimen and use techniques that work for your skin. ad

*Keep the face clean.Maintain clean face. Cleanliness is the first step to beautiful skin. Wash your face gently twice a day—once in the morning and once before going to bed. Wash away dirt, sweat, oil and make up with a mild cleanser appropriate for your skin type. Do not wash the face too often as it may irritate the skin and cause it to dry.

*Drink Plenty of Water The health of the skin begins on the inside. Water is essential to keep your body hydrated and can help you avoid the appearance of dry, dull skin. Eat foods with lots of water, like cucumber, watermelon, oranges, and other fresh fruits and vegetables.

*Moisturize Regularly

Moisturiser keeps skin supple and does not allow it to dry out too much. Even oily skin girls should use a light, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Use after washing your face particularly after your face is slightly moist.

*Apply sunscreen daily (even on cloudy days). One of the top beauty habits is sun protection. Sunlight exposure may lead to sun-tanning, dark spots and premature skin aging. Use a broad-spectrum sun protection product with an SPF of 30 or more when outside. Reapply it as needed, particularly after sweating or spending a long time outside.

*Make Simple Homemade Face Masks Certain foods found in the kitchen can be used for the care of the skin. For instance, a plain yogurt can be used to give a soothing and moisturizing effect, and finely ground oats with water can form a gentle cleansing mask. Use fresh ingredients and never apply anything that can burn, itch or become red.

*Avoid Harsh Scrubbing Too vigorous a scrubbing of the face may lead to skin irritation and compromise the skin barrier. Gently scrub your face with your fingers rather than rough scrubs. In the event you apply an exfoliating product, apply it in accordance with instructions and do not overuse.

*Get Enough Sleep Beauty isn't just about skin care products. Adequate, good sleep allows time for the body to rest and recuperate. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day and get 7-9 hours of sleep a night as an adult.

 Eat a Balanced Diet

A balanced diet can support overall skin health. Include vegetables, fruits, whole grains, proteins, nuts, and healthy fats in your meals. Try to limit excessive amounts of highly processed foods and sugary drinks. A healthy diet, combined with good skincare habits, can help your skin look naturally fresh.

Keep Your Hands and Pillowcase Clean

We often touch our faces without realizing it. Dirty hands can transfer oil, dirt, and germs to the skin. Wash your hands regularly and avoid unnecessarily touching your face. Changing and washing pillowcases regularly can also help keep the area around your face clean.

Remove Makeup Before Bed

Never make sleeping with makeup a regular habit. Remove makeup gently before going to bed, then cleanse and moisturize your face. This helps prevent leftover makeup, oil, and dirt from remaining on the skin overnight.

 Avoid Picking Pimples

It can be tempting to squeeze or pick pimples, but doing so may worsen inflammation and increase the risk of marks or scarring. Instead, keep the area clean and use suitable acne-care products if necessary. If acne is persistent or severe, a dermatologist can provide appropriate advice.

 Follow a Simple Routine

A good home beauty routine does not need to be complicated. In the morning, cleanse your face, apply moisturizer, and finish with sunscreen. At night, remove makeup if necessary, cleanse your face, and apply moisturizer. Consistency is generally more useful than using many different products.
